IT provider shows it ethical colours

A Wiltshire IT technology solutions provider has proved businesses can be successful and ethical at the same time.

ITS, based at Notton, near Chippenham, is in the running for three awards at the Wiltshire Small Business Awards which take place 27 April at the Cotswold Water Park Four Pillars Hotel.

The company has reached the final stages for Innovation and Growth and Small Business of the Year categories, and managing director, John Matthews, is up for Business Person of the Year.

ITS has also made impressive strides forward over the last couple of years, investing in and growing its knowledge base, service offering and staff expertise, all whilst keeping a sharp eye on sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

ITS has invested in expertise and product to deliver ´Green IT´ through virtualised server solutions. Having been awarded Enterprise status for virtualisation giant, VMware, it enables clients to run IT systems that reduce carbon footprint and the cost of hardware, whilst delivering considerable service improvement benefits.

ITS demonstrates its commitment to its corporate social responsibility (CSR) mandate through engagement with Trowbridge-based charity, Business against Poverty (BaP).

It provides full hardware, software and support for BaP, while both management and staff have shown their support for the cause by participating in regular fundraising activities. This year the company entered a team of seven to run the 2012 Bath Half Marathon raising £1,700, and future events include a networking evening at their offices and a sponsored London to Paris cycle ride in the autumn.

Businesses have the chance to pick the brains of ITS Tecchies at a networking event on 17 April,. Attendance costs £15 with all proceeds going to Business against Poverty.
