Underground trip for associates

Located 100 feet beneath the hills of Wiltshire, Octavian Vaults´ Corsham Cellars is the only commercial underground wine storage facility in the UK.

Some 10,000 private collectors, investors and wine merchants from 39 countries choose to store their collections here - and associate members of the Wessex Association of Chambers of Commerce will have the opportunity to tour the facility on Thursday, May 20 from 2pm.

The fine storage facilities have been created out of a mine, which was previously the underground working of the local quarry for sandstone rock used in the Bath area.

The quarry ceased production in the 1920´s and in the 1930´s the underground chambers were taken over by the MOD.
