Seminar series kicks off with advice on pension saving

Malmesbury-based Richard Witcombe Financial Advisory Services, kick off their autumn seminar programme this evening (Thursday) with an event aimed at educating people on the reasons for and benefits of pension saving.

The seminar taking place on Thursday 23rd September will provide a wealth of pension related information relevant for everyone regardless of their stage in life. Huw Jones, partner at Richard Witcombe FAS, will be the speaker and will also cover the impact and considerations relating to recent and forthcoming changes to pension legislation.

“For many retirement seems a lifetime away particularly when there are numerous other financial pressures to deal with in this tough economic climate’ said Huw. “However, as you could end up with more than 20 years in retirement, it is never too early to start making plans to enable you to enjoy those carefree golden years.

Other seminars in the series will include a ‘Smarter Investing’ event on October 28, which is aimed at individuals looking to make more informed decisions around their investments including covering the pros and cons of passive versus active investing.

The final seminar in the series will take place on November 25, coinciding with Financial Planning Week, a national campaign by the Institute of Financial Planning to educate people on how to take control of their financial future. The ‘Feathering the N.E.S.T’ seminar is a not to be missed event for all small business leaders as it will help employers make sense of the workplace pension reforms. It will explain what N.E.S.T actually is as well as cover the impact it will have on all businesses and what the obligations of employers will be.
