Shaw Trust talk for businesses

Jo Whitehead, regional director of operations for the Shaw Trust, will be the guest speaker at a special Wessex Business Breakfast, to be held at Palmer Gardens, Islington, Trowbridge on Thursday, September 22 from 7.30am.

Jo’s presentation will address the important work the Trust undertakes in supporting disabled and disadvantaged people find work and lead more independent lives and how local businesses can benefit. Her talk is entitled Shaw Trust – Supporting Local Business.

The event is in partnership with Jobcentre Plus and there will be the opportunity to talk to members of both organisations to find out more about how they can support local businesses in working positively with disabled employees and become Two Tick disability employers.

There will also be an opportunity to tour the grounds and find out more about the community work Palmer Gardens undertakes in Trowbridge.
