How can we use Mary Portas´ The Future of the High Street report to take our town forward?
That´s the question being asked by business leaders in Warminster at the Chamber of Commerce new year´s lunch on Tuesday, January 24.
The event will be held from 12.30pm to 2pm at The Weymouth Arms, Emwell Street, Warminster, and costs £19 for two courses or £22 for three courses. For a booking form click on www.wessexchambers.org.uk/Files/wr%20new%20year´s%20lunch%20jan24.pdf
The independent review of the future of the UK’s high streets was published by retail guru and TV celebrity Mary Portas last month.
The 28 suggestions by Portas, contained in the report commissioned by David Cameron, are set to shape the government’s plan for improving local communities in the years to come.
At the launch, Portas warned: “With town centre vacancy rates doubling over the last two years, the need to take action to save our high streets has never been starker.”
