Business leaders debate big issues

The big issues affecting Swindon´s major businesses will be discussed at the annual Swindon Business Leaders´ Forum next week.

As UK plc fights for economic stability, the forum – organised by Swindon Chamber of Commerce – promises to be a not-to-be-missed event as guest speakers will equip business leaders with current thinking and advice.

Delegates will be the first to hear expert predictions on the outlook for the economy, savings and investments, and both of Swindon´s MPs have been invited to give their political outlook for the town.

Guest speakers include:

  • Bob Devine, investment manager at Epic Asset Management Ltd, who will be talking about the outlook for savings & investments
  • Russell Evans, head of network strategy at FirstGroup, who will be discussing plans for direct access to Heathrow from the West of the country – for which the Chamber has been lobbying.
  • Dr Kegang Wu, executive director of the British Chambers of Commerce Link2China
  • Gary Mealing, president of Swindon Chamber of Commerce

Now in its third year, the forum provides an opportunity for Swindon businesses to assess the impact of external business factors and how they their organisations.

Attendance to the forum, which will be held at Alexandra House in Wroughton on Friday, October 28 from 9.30am to 1pm, costs £42 for Chamber of Commerce members and £54 for non-members.
